A step by step guide to the Gallagher graduate recruitment process

Gallagher

  1. Online application

Submit your interest for the Gallagher Graduate program via Prosple. While we don’t ask for a cover letter, we are keen to see your CV. It’s important your CV is up to date and shows us your academic and work history.

Handy hint: Rather than list only your duties in your previous roles, tells us what you’ve achieved. Example: ‘Responded to 85 customer calls daily and solved 90% of their concerns’. This sounds stronger than, ‘Provided customer service’.

2. Phone Screen

A member of our Graduate Talent Acquisition Team will be in touch to discuss your application. This is an informal conversation to understand your reasons for applying and what interests you about Gallagher.

Handy hint: Be intentional with your graduate applications. Quantity does not equal quality. Applying for everything often means you’re not really investing in what you’re passionate about. If you know why you’re applying for the Gallagher Graduate program, you will be a clear, confident and competitive candidate in your phone screen.

3. 1st Round Interview

This stage involves a one hour Teams interview with Gallagher’s Talent Manager. You’ll be asked a range of behavioural and scenario based questions and invited to share your relevant experience. It’s also an opportunity for you to learn about the culture, the program and the people you’ll be working with.

Handy hint: Research Gallagher. We’re a unique organisation with a fascinating history. Being familiar with that shows you’re genuinely interested!

Take a look at our advice article on How to Ace Your Interview for a couple of tips.

4. Psychometric Testing

Gallagher invites all applicants, not just grads, to take part in this stage. Psychometric testing might be a new experience and might sound intimidating, but it helps us understanding your strengths and how we can best set you up for success, if you are made an offer. At Gallagher, we value difference and diversity, so be yourself and respond honestly.

Handy hint: Set yourself up in a quiet room without distractions. Although there are no right or wrong responses in these assessments, you’ll want to concentrate on the answers you’re selecting, so your results show us the true you.

5. Final Round Interview

Congratulations! You’re through to the fifth and final stage of our Graduate Recruitment process. Here, you’ll meet with two of our Executive Team for a 30 minute Teams interview. Again, you’ll be asked questions which give you an opportunity to demonstrate where you’ve excelled or overcome a challenge.

Handy hint: Come prepared to ask your own questions. This is the point end of the process and a great forum to have anything you’re not sure of clarified and also display the level of research you’ve done on Gallagher by asking an exceptional question.

6. Offer

Congratulations! Your career at Gallagher begins. We can’t wait to welcome you.
