Welcome to the rest of your life, dearest graduates.

Welcome to the rest of your life, dearest graduates.  It’s time to shoot for the moon, make lemonade, live every day like it’s your last and, hopefully, become part of the generation that strikes overused inspirational quotes from our collective consciousness.

Even if you aren’t looking to work at the Ministry of Cliches and Other Hackneyed Phrases, this series will help you prepare for the biggest (and the most lucrative) period of your life.  We’ve created the Breakthrough the Interview series to give you an overview of what to expect when applying and interviewing for your top job.

All you have to do is sit back and read.

Here’s a sneak preview of what’s coming up.  It’ll look something like the plan below, but with way more awesome words.

1 – The 101 scrub up: All that basic hygiene that rockstars like you should be on top of like how to clean up your Facebook and tips on crafting that perfect LinkedIn offering. Seriously, we want you to look all shiny and sane online.

2 – How to sound like you know what you’re talking about: Hot tips on what to know before you go in to an interview, how to prepare and who to research.

3 – Tell your story like a boss: How to bring your CV to life and talk about all the ways your experiences have made you that special someone they’ve been waiting for. (Plus, pro tips on how to answer those usual, “Tell me a time when…”)

4 – How to confidently face those interview curveballs:  All the insider’s secrets to navigating the interviewer’s trickiest questions (while having fun at the same time, seriously).

5 – Practice, practice, practice: Why you need to practice, what to do ahead of time, plus, some very relevant interview dos and don’ts.

6 – Showtime! How to dress, what to take and more importantly, how to stay sane during the interview. We also throw in a few handy questions to ask at the end.

7 – How to win at the group interview (as a team player, of course): Hot tips on how to showcase your best self and stand out from the crowd.

8– Stay cool, kid: The dos and don’ts of post-interview behaviour, following up and average wait periods.
