Admission to candidature requires:
a Bachelor of Education from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification and either the completion of postgraduate studies, or professional experience equivalent to one year full-time in a field considered by the Faculty to be appropriate to the program of study; or
a bachelor's degree and either the Graduate Diploma in Education or Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification; or
a bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney or equivalent qualification and either the completion of postgraduate studies in Education, or professional experience equivalent to two years full-time in a field considered by the Faculty to be appropriate to the program of study. Applicants must be currently engaged in university teaching.

Please note: This course is only available to returning and current students who commenced a Bachelor of Political, Economic and Social Sciences (Honours) degree in 2017 or prior.
Students need to have obtained results with an average of 70% or above in eight senior units of study (48 credit points) in the subject in they wish to take honours. Some departments and programs have additional prerequisites, including advanced senior units designed to prepare students for the challenges of fourth-year study.
