Culture at AMP

8.6
8.6 rating for Culture, based on 16 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
Personally, I work at AMP Capital in the Real Estate team and haven't have much exposure to other parts of AMP or AMP Capital aside from the grad cohort so can only comment on AMP Capital but the culture here is amazing. it is an encouraging, friendly, motivated yet tight-knit community.

The teams are very supportive and tight-knit, both inside and outside of work hours. They are willing to lend advice and guidance, both in regards to day-to-day work and also on life/career advice.

The culture has been poor but a lot of work is being done to improve it. Personally I have only experienced a positive working culture but there is exposure and attention on poor culture more broadly. The immediate team I work in has great culture and teamwork.

The culture is very strong and everyone is empowered to achieve their best but also to njoy their time and work and outside of work. Although, overall the culture at the moment is very demotivated and fragmented due to the high degree of uncertainty and mismanagement the company has seen over the past 12-18 months.

Culture at the employee level is fantastic, leaders need to do some work. Huge variance in I&D capabilities of leaders, with some going above and beyond and others disinterested in that aspect of the company.

Company culture is a bit lackadaisical due to demotivation within the team. After hours culture seems a bit forced.

Great work life balance, ability to work from home and choose your work hours in a typical week.

Everyone is incredibly friendly and willing to help you out in your career with advice.

At my level there are no issues with culture. Everyone I have worked with are willing to go above and beyond to help me. The issue is at a much higher level - as it has been told in the press. Transparency seems to be the biggest struggle for senior management.

It depends on the team you join for each rotation and how they like to do things. In terms of the graduate cohort, everyone is open and happy to socialise making it a really welcoming environment.

Great culture, when in the office there is plenty of chatting and laughs, very laid back and fun. After hours plenty of socialising events that extend beyond drinks, including tipping comps and volunteering.

Everyone is very friendly and willing to help, and the organisation is relatively flat.

Teamwork within my team is great, graduate culture is supportive and fun. Only issue would be I feel broader groups/teams are very segregated and the company doesn't seem to flow in that aspect.
