Salary at BHP

What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
I believe pay needs to currently be reviewed for inflation concerns. Disregarding inflation, wage is competitive in the industry and bonus is good incentive.
Graduate, Mackay
Quicker process needed when changing to site.
Graduate, Perth
There's room for improvement but I'm currently satisfied
Graduate, Perth
Amazing pay for a graduate and someone starting off a specialist role
Graduate, Perth
It is amazing. As a grad, I am getting on the job training with good salary and bonus.
Graduate, Olympic Dam- Roxby Downs
I think my pay is pretty good for a graduate, and I'm happy with it.
Graduate, Perth, Western Australia
I am getting paid as a grad doing the exact same role as my co-workers who are on significantly more. This would not bother me if they had different responsiblities but I have taken on a full time roll so there is no difference between me and my peers other than pay
Graduate, Moranbah
Pay is not very competitive with other mining companies but prestige helps BHP's case. Bonuses are decent but after tax are not great
Graduate, Adelaide
Competitive salary
Graduate, Perth
Really competitive salary (probably one of the best graduate ones), mostly made up of FIFO allowance and roster allowance. Annual bonus is usually really good too.
Graduate, Moranbah
I do think this is a contentious area. There is that element of gratitude for bonuses that other companies don't offer employees so yes that is wonderful. However, when you are recording record profits and only offering 95% of the bonuses to employees you are going to get workers offside. Management treats itself well on bonuses don't stiff your lower level employees, be respectful and equal! The pay is good, i believe it could be a bit better, you have lowered employees pay over the years, we are doing well i believe. You should be reflecting that in more pay. Afterall we are doing FIFO and our pay shouldn't be comparable to city work as we are making a sacrifice of being away from family and friends.

BHP pays really well and has a good bonus system
Graduate, Moranbah
Bonus wasn't enough for the stress and not getting paid overtime.
Graduate, Brisbane
My pay package is very competitive. It is inclusive of a base salary, bonus, and allowances.
Graduate, Adelaide
Very satisfied
Midlevel, Perth
Compared to other grad programs, very happy
Graduate, Olympic Dam
The pay and bonuses are very reasonable.
Midlevel, Newman
Reasonable and great considering the performance of ODV
Graduate, Olympic Dam
We made a record profit. Larger than we have ever made ever and it still paid only 95%. Something is seriously flawed with capitalism.
Midlevel, Perth
It is ok. Not be highest in the inductor but also definitely not towards the low end either.

What are your company's best or most unusual perks? For example: free tickets, free dinners, moving expenses, taxis, pension, etc.
Moving expenses for grads a bonus, but also comes at the expense of residential requirements BMA Safe cards for money towards local business for maintaining safety a great incentive
Graduate, Mackay
Discounts to A LOT of services. Notably 5 star hotels discounted more the 65%
Graduate, Perth
They have corporate discounts with a huge number of businesses. This can be from hotels to shopping to buying a car, you can usually always find a BHP discount
Graduate, Perth
I am getting travel allowances. When I am out for work to different city, then hotel accommodation as well from company.
Graduate, Olympic Dam- Roxby Downs
Best perks would be the frequent social events which I like attending, e.g. sundowners, the 2022 Christmas party coming up, and such. I can't think of any unusual perks at BHP.
