Working Hours at BHP

7.8
7.8 rating for Working Hours, based on 49 reviews
How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
Current site very flexible with hours. Allows for taking care of mental health, driving fatigue and day to day tasks that simply cant be achieved in a 6am-5pm (including commute) lifestyle. Previous role had more rigidity and made for more overall time off as work hours couldn't move around needs.

Very flexible working hours. You can tailor your work hours as you see fit with working from arrangements as well

I am doing 9-10 hours a day. It is really flexible because sometimes I do work from home that makes me more effective as it avoid daily travelling time to work.

I find BHP is very flexible, and this is very good for maintaining good morale and happiness in people. I prefer to work from 7am to 3pm each day, and generally will go into the office twice a week, and work from home three days a week.

I work 6am - 6pm, on an 8/6 roster. Hours are not really flexible however, am able to leave early on occasion if needed

Work hours are flexible but location is the struggle to myself and family

4 days per week, 12.5 hr days. Pretty structured start/end times so very rarely have to stay back late or start early. Haven't tried to negotiate any different hours but annual leave is usually approved. Can work from home if needed (e.g. flu symptoms). Travel time (FIFO) is on work time - get to work later on fly in day and leave early on fly out day.

I work approximately 54 hours a week on my long week and 42 hours on my short week (excluding travel time). The company is extremely flexible when it comes to hours.

The mining industry has long hours, but it is still possible to have a balance if you are motivated enough

very flexible, sometimes too flexible because i rarely see my team in the office all together. WFH is more efficient.

Although I am employed on a 8hr 5/2 roster, I am expected to work 11hr days with flying to/from site.

Working FIFO the hours are quite long, though that does come with the territory. My company is pretty open to the option of flexible working hours.

I am on shift so not very flexible. However as I am still a Graduate, I can ask for leaves quite easily. The supervisor need to source cover for people going on leave on shift.

FIFO 12 hours per day, 8/6 roster. Flexible hours only if office is walking distance from camp, otherwise need to take bus to office which is only at fixed hours. Reduces flexibility when working FIFO if there is only one bus in the morning and after work.
Graduate, Perth
Aways work much more than required. No choice.
