Training & Personal Development at Empired Ltd

7.0
7.0 rating for Training, based on 6 reviews
Please describe the training programmes at your company and tell us what skills you've picked up.
Did not have any formal induction programme in the office when I started and had to pick up ways of working on the go; it would have been great to have had some structure around the working processes at the start. Do not have great handover processes when starting a new person on a project; most of the things have to be learnt as you go and there is not enough documentation. But the company does organise training camp for all graduates however I was unable to attend it due to travel issues. They also provide information about Microsoft trainings which I have been able to attend.

The training programs offered by Empired are greatly. We are currently leveraging off Microsoft's built programs/videos and documentation readily available to us.

Online training is not good for a developer. Microsoft certifying is coved and that's nice. Told that if you fail your on the hook to pay to re take the test

The skills I picked up from Uni definitely helped here, but almost every bit of training was done on the job. I have only improved existing skills rather than developed new ones.

Very much a learn on the job company. I think before a project starts there should be time given to developers to complete courses on the technology they will be working on. Instead managers try to immediately move you from one project to the next. The seniors on projects are generally pretty good at helping you find your footing though.

Prior to being assigned a project, took up the Microsoft Certified Azure Fundamentals course. Additional courses can be engaged in if you discuss it with your manager. Have also shadowed a colleague and significantly boosted my Business Intelligence skills.
