Your role

HSBC is currently seeking ambitious individuals to join its team in the role of Primary Banker, working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Brand Ambassador for HSBC WPB, delivering an exceptional customer experience through identifying and fulfilling all customer needs at the first point of contact (Meeter and Greeter role to all customer walk-ins to the branch);
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of the bank’s products and services to provide “point of meet” solutions using tablets and technology to resolve more digital and technology-related solutions to customer’s needs;
  • Promote and deliver the digital channel and Life Sign Technology to NTB or ETB customers. Sharing digital know-how with customers to create awareness and increase the adoption rate and usage that is convenient to customers therefore they can bank with HSBC from anywhere at any time;
  • Effectively question and listen to your customers to enable you to fully understand both new & existing customer’s financial circumstances and needs;
  • Operate within a customer-facing capacity in the branch, generating revenue growth by meeting and exceeding customer needs; maximizing opportunities across all retail customer segments by selling simple retail products (Cards, PIL, Balance Build, and other retail products);
  • Proactively drive referrals to both PB 2 for insurance and Premier to wealth colleagues;
  • Collaborates effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and specialists giving customers the benefit of the best banking solutions and specialist advice by proactively providing customers with the best solution in the market;
  • Be a role model to peers and demonstrate customer engagement DNA by taking ownership to serve customers;
  • Ensure that attends all training programs designed for UB to continuously harness skills and knowledge and be competent when talking to stakeholders;
  • Be proactive in building & developing a customer base and pipelines through the use of Customer Contact Lists, referrals, and walk-ins;
  • Proactively update accurate customer information in the bank system for KYC / AML and other banks' use later;
  • Objectives achieved following all Compliance, Audit, SOX and other regulatory requirements met at all times to ensure no reputation, monetary or operational losses;
  • Comply with all training requirements as per the bank's direction.

HSBC offers a comprehensive, market-competitive pay and benefits package to support employees’ professional and personal needs. The salary for Primary Banker ranges from 36000 MYR to 47000 MYR approximately annually.

About you

The qualifications and requirements for the role are :

  • Minimum SPM qualification with 5 credits.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, and training will be provided.
  • Relevant licensing in marketing wealth products such as PCE/TBE/CEILLI/FIMM would be an added advantage.
  • Good track record and knowledge of personal banking products i.e. Bancassurance, credit cards, personal loans, and fixed deposits.
  • Strong interest in building relationships and providing financial solutions to customers.
  • Good interpersonal and communication capabilities.
  • Driven for success and eager to learn, grow, and thrive.
