Please tell us about promotion possibilities and fill us in on what it takes to move up the ranks.
We have clear pathways for each role (ladder or lateral) - we have 1up conversations that allow us to explore conversations and talk about what we are interested in. We have progress and promotions (at leadership level) to discuss performance outside of the review cycle.
Experienced, Sydney
After the initial "acceleration" phase of focussing on coding practices, we get places into existing teams to work with and learn within that environment. Once we have completed at least a couple of rotations, we are then able to join these teams as a junior level developer and progress from there.

It's common for internal staff to apply to fill job vacanies.

Standard pipeline for grads is to move to an associate developer role

At the moment our company is experiencing financial difficulties so there is quite a lot of instability and uncertainty. Although we are all promised permanent roles in the company getting one in a team we actually want and getting promoted from there is very doubtful.

Very easy if you have absolutely crushed Ur responsibilities. You will get a promotion at start of the year
Midlevel, Melbourne
Can't comment on this point as I am still in the graduate program.

Protege Developer role feeds into Associate Developer role.
Graduate, Auckland
As graduates we get opportunity to rotate through teams and test our interest in staying and apply for internal Associate Developer positions that might open up in the teams that accept our application. We get opportunity to rotate through up to 3 teams. At the moment there is a hiring freeze and so the movements from graduate to AD roles has slowed, but not stopped. Probably why I rate a 7 instead of higher.
