Diversity is a key value in this company, some people say that they overlook qualified or the most suited candidate to fulfil quotas (make what you will out of that).

Good, the company takes care of their people offering good welfare and support people from different diversity backgrounds (on site help and offsite help)

Being a female on a mine site is still tough, you still have other employees undermine your role on site. The culture still on FIFO sites are very much male dominated and is not welcoming for a new female to the industry. Makes you want to work harder to prove your worth when that shouldn't be the case. It can be isolating at times. The company still has a long way to go interims of diversity and supporting other communities on site.

I think my team could hire more females, at the moment our team is dominated by men with only 4 females so that change would be great. It is however, very diverse in terms on ethnic minorities.

Graduate intake is very diverse, however this is generally not well reflected in leadership positions (onsite/ExCo, may be different in the office based roles). Few women, LGBTQ people, or people from minorities in leadership roles at the sites I've been at. More needs to be done to coach people of different backgrounds into leadership positions & encourage different styles of leadership.

As an indigenous employee, needs to be a focus on getting mob apt in the mining core technical roles, and not relying on unskilled labour or non-core mining roles to meet the 'quota'.

We have a good force, but it seems forceful when they do a 50/50 intake or when people on site assume you got the job because you are a female. NEED TO CHANGE THIS IMAGE.
