Please describe the training programmes at your company and tell us what skills you've picked up.
The graduate program needs improving.
Graduate, Regional WA
I have access to lots of guides to assist with my work. Informally, I have access to skilled workers to answer additional queries.
Graduate, Canberra
Formal training could have been improved with more specific programs, I have learn more on the job
Graduate, Perth
I came in at an unusual timing, so my formal training was a bit lacking, but I made it up with all the on the job experience.
Graduate, Perth
Good development programs, lots of informal training
Graduate, ACT
The training online is helpful. undergrads are given a member of the office to be their buddy to go to for help. I do not like this idea. I find getting help off my buddy to be difficult sometimes and find myself asking other people for help with things I do not know.
Intern, Wagga Wagga
Lots of company wide trainings available, fortnightly internal tax training, not a lot technical training provided when I first started so that could be improved.
Graduate, Brisbane
The training can be unexciting, however it does fast track the development of your knowledge
Intern, Albury
No specific team formal training given at all.
Graduate, NSW
Not too much formal training more learn as you go onto jobs and start testing (I like that method personally)
Graduate, Brisbane
BD Bites (How to deal with clients) Business meeting (Frequent update on rules, standards, and technology)
Graduate, PORT LINCOLN
Mostly on the job training
Graduate, Perth
Trainings are generally really informative, but they are inconsistent. Some trainings enable me to learn generally valuable skills such as clientele management, others might cover very niche areas that I will only come across once or twice in my career.
Graduate, Sydney
Early in my employment I've had an opportunity to undertake formal training qualifications which will provide me skills and development for my role. Some of this training has also solidified my on-the-job learning.
Graduate, Canberra
Training videos.
Graduate, Melbourne
The training is above average. From the COLAB to speaking things over with my manager there is always learning opportunities with knowledgeable people.
Graduate, Bunbury
Great tax training program and training provided from other employees. The graduate program encapsulates a lot of wellbeing and mindset based training and advice. Whilst this can be helpful, the volume and frequency of this style training is a bit much as it is very samey and often involves long sessions at busy times of year
Graduate, Perth
OWL is a learning platform for all staff. It is encouraged to access and upskill whenever possible. I've learnt to enroll myself for trainings to upskill numerous occasions.
Intern, Bunbury
The on the job training is terrible. We have a copy from last year procedure where you aren't actually taught how to do the job. As a graduate this is an absolute nightmare as you have not completed accounting work just basics at uni. The formal training online and at Collab is great however completely useless if you are unable to have proper on the job training.
Graduate, Gosford
I did not really enjoy the training videos and quizzes on the first 2-3 days. It was a little boring and I forgot about half of the things I learned because they gave me too much information.
