When you graduate, you'll be ready to succeed in business and law specialisations, including:
The Bachelor of Laws includes subjects required by the Victorian Legal Admissions Board to qualify for admission to the legal profession in Victoria as an Australian lawyer. To qualify requires ongoing training and courses. The Marketing major is accredited by the Australian Marketing Institute. Upon completing the Accounting major, with additional subjects, students may be eligible to graduate with an accounting qualification accredited by CPA Aust./CAANZ. Refer to the professional body for details.
Admission to the legal profession by the Supreme Court of Victoria also requires the completion of practical legal training either by a 12-month period of Supervised Legal Training or by completing an approved practical legal training course (for example, at the Leo Cussen Institute or The College of Law). Candidates for admission to practice must also satisfy the Admissions Board that they are a fit and proper person to be admitted to practice.
International graduates require a relevant visa to complete a practical legal traineeship in Australia. International students are advised to obtain assurance of recognition of the course by the relevant professional bodies in your preferred country of practice.
