Graduates will be expected to be able to effectively work with children and young people who may have experienced a range of challenges in their lives and provide support that addresses a young person's social, behavioural, health and welfare needs.
To be awarded this qualification, students need to complete 16 units, including 10 core and six electives. Delivery is a combination of on-campus classroom learning, e-learning activities and practical placement of 120 hours within a child protection service. This model enables students to engage in real learning situations and transfer knowledge into skills.
