What you will learn

The Graduate Certificate in Education (Islamic Education) offers professional learning aligned with contemporary educational polices, standards and practices, within the framework of Islamic teaching.

The courses you will study relate to contemporary issues, and include themes of student well-being and managing learning environments. You will develop skills to better meet the needs, and improve the quality of education, for Muslim students.

You will graduate with foundations in contemporary Islamic theology, and in Islamic teaching across a range of diverse educational settings for Muslim students.

Career pathways

As a graduate of this qualification, you could reasonably expect to find employment in Islamic schools or possibly Madrassahs, Pesantrens, or in state and private schools with a high percentage of Muslim students. Educational settings could range from early childhood to school learning.
