Graduate Sales Engineering Development Program

What will you do?

You will join our International Graduate Sales Engineering Development program which will provide you with a path towards Sales Engineering excellence while working for a company that’s leading the way for innovation. This a global program that offers extensive networking, mentoring, and coaching opportunities, and its structured learning approach includes classroom-based and hands-on training during which you’ll learn about Ciena’s solutions and how our organisations work together to exceed the needs of our customers.  

After your development program ends you will join our Sales Engineering team full time. The Sales Engineer (SE) is a key component to Ciena’s success and is the technical bridge between our Ciena and our current and future Customers. The Sales Engineer utilizes their technical aptitude to maximize sales and profitability at current accounts and develops business opportunities with new clients by taking ownership of the prime technical relationship with our customers and prospects.

What are we looking for

As a result of huge growth driven by the world shifting more and more to living & working on the move (5G, working from home etc) we want to hire a full-time Graduate Sales Engineering person who will be graduating or has graduated with a STEM degree within the past 0-1 years who is looking for their first or second job. You will be a highly motivated and ambitious person with a positive “can do” attitude. You will naturally have a problem-solving & creative mentality and thrive in a team environment. You will have excellent presentation skills and previous telecommunication experience is a distinct advantage.  

The role is open to the citizens and permanent residents of Australia.

We are open to hiring in Sydney or Melbourne.
