Here at Stantec, it’s exciting to get the chance to work on a variety of projects and learn from some very talented people.

I really enjoy problem solving and finding unique and innovative solutions for complex problems. I love telling people about the diverse and unique projects I get to work on. 

The thing I love the most about my job is the people. The people you work and communicate with to solve problems.

I love the fact I can actually help create positive solutions for communities and the environment.

The best thing I like about my job is not being tethered to my desk 24/7.

I am greatly interested in the people and how they interact within communities using the transportation systems we plan and design.

My favourite part about my job is that I am able to give back to the community that I grew up in.

Bringing fresh ideas and digital smarts (modelling, interactive maps, etc) for solutions to problems faced by clients is the most rewarding feeling.

Each company has its own industry knowledge and skills, not always shared by Stantec, so it’s a great environment to be a developing engineer.

I have been working for Stantec for 15 months and last year, shortly after joining Stantec, I had the opportunity to travel to Kaikoura for an extended time to complete construction monitoring and MSQA work for the Kaikoura District Council earthquake rebuild programme.

Having a simple, eye-catching and well put together CV goes along way.
