Pros & Cons

  • The wide area of responsibility I have. I get to work with a diverse set of tools and learn a ton of things on the technical side. Everyone is very helpful and is willing to take the time to teach things to me.
  • High risk/ pressure environment- can also be a plus depending on your preferences.

Start as a trainee trader, work up to managing your own book then can potentially head your own desk. Very viable progression at VCT.

Corporate Social Responsibility
Social bonus structure. All employees are urged to donate to a cause that they are passionate about. This gives a large portion of the company profits back to the community. I have personally chosen to donate to a charity that resonates with my values.

Culture
The company culture is very friendly and relaxed, but there is still an air of productivity around the office. The flat company structure makes it easy to talk to anyone at any time. The social bonuses also allow us to think of the bigger picture and for us to make an impact outside of Vivcourt.

Recruitment
The online assessment was prompt and to the point, they were fair in difficulty. The take-home assignment was interesting to work on as it described a realistic task. The in-person interviews were challenging but made a lot of sense as they also tackled real problems. Finally, the talk with Rob and Mitch was very enjoyable and cemented my excitement to work at Vivcourt.
