University of New England (UNE) Courses

A candidate shall:

(a) hold an AQF Level 7 Bachelor degree, or an AQF Level Bachelor degree and an AQF Level 8, 9 or 10 postgraduate qualification in a health related discipline* area from a recognised university in Australia or overseas, and not be currently registered to practice as a nurse in Australia; and

(b) at least one of the following criteria must be met:

(i) English is the applicant's first language; or

(ii) comply with the University's English Language Requirements for Admission and English Language Requirements higher than the University minimum requirement Annex for Courses in Nursing (Conferring Eligibility for Registered Nurse Status)

* Health related discipline area may include, but is not limited to: Social Work; Community Services; Paramedicine; Allied Health; Biomedical Science.

A candidate shall:

(a) hold an AQF Level 7 Bachelor qualification or above ; or

(b) hold an AQF Level 8 Graduate Certificate in Data and Cyber Management from UNE.

A candidate shall:

(a) hold the AQF Level 7 degree of Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent; or

(b) hold an AQF Level 8 Graduate Certificate in Nursing; or

(c) hold an AQF Level 8 Graduate Diploma in Nursing; or

(d) satisfy UNE by means of other relevant* professional experience by submitting a Statement of Service from your employer/s and a resume outlining a minimum of three years' full-time (or equivalent) relevant* professional experience and training undertaken in the past 10 years.

* Relevant discipline: Nursing

A candidate shall submit a Statement of Service for their work experience from their employer (on company letterhead) and a resume; and

(a) hold an AQF Level 5 Diploma in Financial Planning or Financial Services or an AQF Level 6 Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning or Financial Services from an Australian TAFE or Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and at least two years' full-time equivalent relevant experience in the financial services industry.

This course is not open to graduates of the UNE Bachelor of Commerce (commenced in 2018).

A candidate shall:

(a) hold an AQF Level 8 Graduate Certificate in Commerce from UNE; or

(b) hold an AQF Level 8 Graduate Diploma in Commerce from UNE.

A candidate shall be qualified for admission (see Admission Undergraduate and Postgraduate (Coursework) Rule and Admission Undergraduate and Postgraduate (Coursework) Procedures).

Assumed knowledge: any two units of English.

Recommenced Studies: any two units of mathematics. For some units in the economics, finance and quantitative areas it is recommended that students have previously studied mathematics.

A candidate shall hold:

(a) an AQF Level 7 Bachelor qualification in a discipline other than History; or

(b) an AQF Level 7 Bachelor qualification with a major in History or relevant discipline*; or

(c) an AQF Level 8 Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Bachelor with Honours or AQF Level 9 Masters qualification in History or relevant discipline*.

*Relevant disciplines include:

Ancient History

Archaeology

English

A candidate shall hold an AQF Level 7 Bachelor degree from a recognised university in a related field of study, for example, Urban and Regional Planning, Geography or Environmental Science.

Applicants must meet the University's English Language Requirements for Admission Rule.

A candidate shall have:

(a) either fulfilled the requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Agribusiness or the Bachelor of Business with a major in Agribusiness, or an equivalent AQF Level 7 award as determined by the school; and

(b) completed units to the value of at least 36 credit points at 300 level in the discipline; and

(c) passed units to the value of at least 36 credit points at 200 level or above with a GPA of 5 (Credit) or better in the discipline.

A candidate shall comply with the University's English Language Requirements for Admission Rule.

Literacy and Numeracy Requirements

Candidates undertaking the Secondary Mathematics specialisation are required to enrol on a non-award basis in the unit MTHS100 Introduction to Quantitative Skills and complete this unit within 12 months of commencing the Associate Degree in Teaching (Pacific Focus).

Candidates undertaking the Secondary Science specialisation are required to enrol on a non-award basis in the units MTHS100 Introduction to Quantitative Skills and CHEM100 Introductory Chemistry and complete these units within 12 months of commencing the Associate Degree in Teaching (Pacific Focus).
