Recruitment Process

The hiring process

First, candidates will submit their resumes and cover letter which will then be reviewed by the Talent Acquisition Lead.

Should your profile match what they're looking for on a very basic level, The Talent Acquisition Lead will typically email you to arrange an over-the-phone discussion. This lasts 20 minutes and gathers some important details like experience, university or high school knowledge, motivations, and ambitions, as well as what you expect in a role, availability, and next steps. This is the candidate's chance to ask any questions about the role to someone who has completed the Trainee program first-hand.

After the phone interview, you will progress to an in-person interview with the Managing Director and Talent Acquisition Lead to go into your background and motivations further, as well as give you an in-depth overview of the role, training, and future prospects. One additional interview may be required after this if needed.

If successful the candidate will be asked to provide 2 references, as well as their qualifications if applicable to progress to the offer and onboarding.

Successful candidates who have completed this trainee program have the following in common:

  • Business/HR background or university studies
  • Customer service or administration experience
  • Willingness to learn and take on challenges
  • Tech savvy, ability to pick up new software or have the focus to complete training modules on them
  • Great communicator with good written skills
  • Ability to have a laugh with the team when challenges arise and show support during team wins

Remuneration & Career Growth

Trainee Talent Acquisition roles typically pay $55,000-65,000AUD +super per year on a full-time salary basis.

After 3 months staff is eligible for commissions on placements additional to base salary and the amount will depend on the type of roles and companies these placements are made with.

Other benefits include regular team events outside the office fully paid for, a fantastic office with sit-stand desks, fruit deliveries, coffees, and a great view, your own Linkedin Recruiter License, and access to professional development both internally and externally.

Once the trainee program is complete (roughly 6 months) the candidate moves into Talent Acquisition and can choose to focus their career in two ways- Talent Attraction or Account Management/Business Development. The choice will be dependent on what the person enjoys and gravitates towards, both with equal career growth and opportunities. Training for both is provided and supported over the next year onwards.
