Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders at Kearney

In honouring their commitment to diversity and inclusion, Kearney recognises the employment gap between Indigenous and Non-Indigenous communities.

Kearney is in the process of implementing a Reconciliation Action Plan to bridge the gap in the employment market and increase the employment of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples within Kearney Australia.

  • As part of Kearney Australia’s efforts to increase diversity and inclusion within the Firm, Kearney has facilitated several partnerships, engagements and activities regarding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Kearney partook in a pro bono consulting engagement that included a donation growth strategy dedicated to an Aboriginal Torres Strait Islanders program.
  • Kearney believes that education about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples is key to achieving an understanding, respectful and diverse community of employees. As such, Kearney has implemented an online learning platform where all employees in Kearney Australia completed a learning module about the stories, legacies and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Kearney is further in the process of introducing an Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander scholarship to be awarded to a respective student that is part of this Indigenous Community in the hopes that this scholarship will encourage more employment applications within the Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander community. Kearney will endeavour to bridge the employment gap between Indigenous and Non-Indigenous communities and to do so in the most respectful manner honouring the cultural history and legacy in line with its Reconciliation Action Plan.
