We have a single charity/volunteer day per quarter, however, this is only being discussed in my Third Quarter at Hudson. We are actively brainstorming on ideas currently. Beyond this, I am unaware.

As a recruiter I am constantly reaching out to candidates in my specialisation and nurturing that talent pool. I am always calling, interviewing, checking in, and searching for candidates. I am regularly on LinkedIn expanding my network, and reading lots of resumes every day! Beyond candidates, I am in contact with clients for further business development so I can get new roles to work on for upcoming projects. When I am working on roles, I am evaluating and reaching out to my talent pool to find the most suitable candidates to match the position description of the role.

Management
Our managers are so easy to approach due to the office layout and their own desire to help us and see us succeed. My manager is so available to me, and checks in with me every day. I also feel like all of my ideas are really well received and taken on board.

The location is amazing and the office is beautiful. You can see everyone in the office which creates a really nice social environment. We have access to showers, we have our own lockers, bathrooms are on site, and we have a lovely kitchen and eating area. The dress code is smart casual, so you can still express your own personal style while keeping it classy. We have a casual day once a week where we can be a bit more relaxed. However, there is an expectation when meeting with candidates and clients that we maintain a professional appearance, and dress to suit the client!

Past initial application, I had a phone screen with the lovely Kellie! Ans Sa teams interview with the Head of NZ (Adam Barratt), an online psychometric test, and a final interview with Peter NKnoblet (MD - Tech). Within the span of one week, I went from application to offer.

A new bonus and pay scheme is being created to ensure that the pathway to more senior roles and the steps to get there are shared across all levels. The ramp-up for newbies has also been adjusted to incentivise staff towards the new shift in company goals - which it fairly compensates for.

Hudson is very flexible. We are encouraged to come in to the office at least two days a week so that we can continue to build on our culture. We are able to come in a little early and finish a little early if we desire, or come in later and finish later (within reason!). There is a lot of trust in us as team members to do the right thing and get our hours in, so we aren't micromanaged. The team have a high level of integrity so I think it works really well, and is great for work-life balance.
